Your voice matters. Our work matters. It’s time to bring them together.
On Friday, Feb. 19, beginning at 5 p.m., the General Assembly’s Appropriations Committee will hold a hearing on the PCSW’s budget. Will you lend your voice in support of women’s rights?
In a time when women are under attack nationally, Connecticut consistently ranks high on national indicators of quality of life for women. We’d all like to keep it that way. Please tell the Appropriations Committee what PCSW’s work means to you or your organization.
How You Can Help
Submit testimony. We strongly encourage you to submit testimony, either in person or in writing, focusing on why the PCSW matters to you, and everyone in our state. It’s too early to tell what specific budget proposals the Appropriations Committee will recommend, so please focus on what PCSW means to you personally; for example, you could talk about ways our work has helped you in your own work, or enhanced the economic security of someone you love, or why a specific public policy initiative of ours has helped you or your family.
You can email your testimony to us at and we’ll hand it in on your behalf. Or, if you prefer, you may send it directly to the Appropriations Committee at . (Please send as an attachment – either PDF or Word.)
Write a testimonial. You may also submit a short testimonial (one paragraph) on our behalf on our website, which we will then present at the budget hearing. It’s easy to do, takes only a few minutes, and makes an enormous impact! Click HERE to read others’ testimonials.
Thank you in advance for your continued support of our work. If you have any questions about how to write or submit testimony, please call us at 860-240-8300.
