The PCSW offered me a chance to share my voice with a community of respectful, validating, and compassionate women in March 2013 at the Women’s Day at the Capitol. As one of the essay finalists, I presented a paper I had poured my heart and soul into, and I was amazed at the rush of support that I received from both the audience and the members of the PCSW.  Before my presentation, I had never felt as if my opinion mattered. I had never thought of myself as a strong woman. But after I joined this wonderful organization–even though it was only for a single day–I grew stronger in my convictions and passions for women. The PCSW gave me the affirmation that my beliefs in supporting and elevating women are valid, and I will always appreciate that incredibly valuable gift.
