Commissioner Eastwood has served as Director of Outreach and Communications for the Coalition for a Safe and Health Connecticut, Clean Water Action, since 2011. This former Peace Corps Cross Culture Coordinator in Sierra Leone has put her considerable expertise in both environmental and social science to work on behalf of such groups as Hartford Interval House, CT Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Conversations for a Green Connecticut (which she founded in 2006), and Clean Water Action, among many others. She is active in local politics and management in her town of Ashford, and is a member of AAUW (Storrs) and the League of Women Voters. Eastwood holds a Master’s in anthropology from the University of Kentucky and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Wyoming. She was appointed to the PCSW in 2013 by Speaker of the House Brendan Sharkey.
