A discussion about the challenges faced by women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields was the topic of a Jan. 28 Community Roundtable co-chaired by Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman and Permanent Commission on the Status of Women Executive Director Teresa Younger. The event took place at East Hartford Town Hall, where Mayor Marcia Leclerc opened the meeting by welcoming over 30 women in attendance who represented professionals in STEM fields as well as in education and other groups that champion equality.
