Commissioner Bond, MPH is the Executive Director of Eastern Area Health Education Center (EAHEC), Inc. In this role, Maritza helps to determine the educational needs of health care providers, and supports development of curriculum frameworks for youth, college students, and adult learners. At Eastern AHEC, Maritza also leads efforts to recruiting minorities and nontraditional students into healthcare careers.
Maritza, who holds a Masters in Public Health with an MPA certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Connecticut, earned a B.S. in Public Health with a specialty in health promotion from Southern Connecticut. She was appointed to the Commission in 2013 by Senate President Pro Tem Donald Williams.
