Commissioner LaFleur, of Westport, was appointed to the Commission in 2010 by Senate Minority Leader John McKinney. Her previous experience includes eight years in the financial services sector with an emphasis on financial management and budgeting and audit and compliance. She was with both GE Capital and Chase Manhattan Corporation. She has served as a member of the Westport Board of Education and was a 2009 candidate for Second Selectman in Westport. She is vice president of the Westport Young Woman’s League. She holds a Master’s in American Studies from Fairfield University and an MBA in finance and international business from NYU, as well as a B.A. in finance from Ithaca College.
