karen jarmoc

Commissioner Jarmoc is a former Connecticut lawmaker and nonprofit consultant who serves as Executive Director for the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence. During her four years in the Connecticut General Assembly, she was tapped to lead various initiatives, including improving workplace safety for correctional employees. In 2009, Speaker of the House Christopher Donovan asked her to establish the Children in the Recession Task Force. Jarmoc is a current board member for the Aurora Foundation for Women and Girls. In September 2011, Karen was appointed by Senate President Pro Tempore Donald Williams to serve on the board of the Connecticut Airport Authority, and was appointed to the PCSW in 2013 by President Pro Tempore Donald Williams. She holds a B.A. communications and political science from Simmons College and a Master’s in public policy from Trinity College.
